About

Selle Inti Sellink makes films about personal growth. In Diaphony, music is how people find their way back to themselves. In Between Worlds, it’s language, family and friendship. In Mi Luna, it’s heritage and fatherhood.

He is a Dutch-Peruvian director and sound designer based in Amsterdam. He spent his first years in Peru before he and his parents moved to the Netherlands. In 2018 he graduated in Sound Design from the Netherlands Film Academy and founded Still Sound Design, his studio for documentary and fiction cinema. His sound credits include Holy Electricity (Golden Leopard, Cineasti del presente, Locarno 2024).

As a director, he works where documentary meets animation, and lets sound carry what images can’t: what’s too heavy to show can still be heard. He mixes what he observes with scenes he stages and stories he imagines.

Diaphony (2022) is a short animated documentary about three people who seem to have little in common, and the music that carried them through the pandemic. It premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival and traveled the world, from IFFR in Rotterdam to Anim’est in Bucharest and NewFilmmakers Los Angeles.

Between Worlds (2026), a short documentary for VPRO, follows three young newcomers. One holds on to family, one takes her first steps in new friendships, one finds her voice in a poem. It premiered at Cinekid. Making it, he learned how poetic a language becomes when you don’t have the big words for it.

He is now developing his first feature, Mi Luna: a film letter to his newborn son, written in the unfinished Spanish his father gave him. It follows his search in the Peruvian Andes for Quilla, the dog his family left behind and the only sister he ever had, and asks what you pass on when you don’t yet know what you were given. Mi Luna was selected for IDFA Project Space NL 2026.

He hopes his films move people toward growth. If they do, that’s the greatest success he can imagine.
